BGR, no i wasn't trying to declare human progress being at a dead end. i do believe that there will be enormous progress. however, i do not believe that economic cycles are dead, and i also believe that the current state of affairs is subject to a lot of hype emanating from WS. i also think that the market already discounts quite a bit of our no doubt wonderful future. let me put it this way: human history is basically a two steps forward one step back affair. the main reason for this is imo human nature, which remains unchanged no matter what. the capitalist economic system moves forward in cycles...
