Priceline has as much in common with Amazon as DELL has with IBM...
...but it's all irrelevant anyway - Lazlo is right: this company (PCLN) is a fraud! How else does one explain the great deals it offers to it's customers. It's simply too good to be true...
...
and as long as revenues continue to grow in near tripple digits, I could care less which way they recognize them... an ywhich way the FASB recommends, PCLN's story will be the same - fast growth, superb brandname recognition, enviable customer base, amazing opportunities for continous growth, unique business model, and a great management team.
If you have at least 5 stocks in your portfolio, how can you afford not to have a little bit of PCLN?

SAPGuru;

I think you hit the nail right on the head. No matter what the PCLN marketing message says, this company is basically an auction company - all this marketing nonsense is just the smoke and mirrors used to shade the real business of the company.
