That name Pyrrole was stuck in my head, so I searched SI for it and read this: Message 12719938 Then I did this query on google: google.com ...and now I am hopelessly off on another wild tangent. Should have looked the chemistry up, but not sure my basic text would have it anyway. And google surfing is so much more fun, just a notch up from the teevee clicker! This hit was especially interesting: We will attack the DNA regulatory part of the Her-2/neu gene by use of novel inhibitory molecules, called pyrrole-imidazole polyamides. ucop.edu The Cadus patent also said something about cancer: The compounds of the invention have biological activity including anti-cancer activity. If "Pyrrole" is a common name in chemistry, I guess I have wasted everybodys time.
