Cool. Thank you for posting it.

We've all talked about it and 'felt' that vertical spike up in the last 3 or 4 days.....but this show folks what it looks like when the spread expands.

It's a pretty hefty reversal. I liked the trend until this spike.

Steve

Here are my charts of JDSU and SDLI.

You can see that both bounced off the bottom of their medium term channels today.

I've re-drawn my channel for JDSU. Previously I had a single, wider channel starting on 10/20/99. I've changed this to a thinner channel from 10/20/99 thru 1/31/00. This is followed by a new channel with a different slope. The new channel is less steep than the first one.

I view this as a positive. No stock can continue rising as fast as JDSU was. The alternative to rising more slowly was to overshoot and then crash & burn.

SDLI is rising more steeply than JDSU.

Guy, Thanks for your effort. A picture is sure worth a thousand real-time updates isn't it? And the rumored no-response to queries about "more information" requested is a plausible cause of the am mini-panic. Maybe one of the parties will clear the air soon?
