I am learning from you master. I am not feeling like a master at the moment. I am down 35% for the year, since I rode Q down for 2 1/2 months. Here is where I am at: I am tuning my investments, and am still in a state of flux. Here is the portfolio I refer to as "Gorilla and Kings". It presently contains 19 companies. No purchase in it was made before February 3rd. This means that no stock has been there more than 6 weeks. I am up 11.7% on it, which is « of my return of a week ago. My criteria was that they fit, at least loosely, in a G&K category, and that I was putting at least 50K in each. If you see more than a 50K investment, I increased my stake as they went up. As you will see, NTAP, ELON, and CREE are my top three investments, but not my top returns, because I bought more of each last week at a higher price than they are now. JDSU shows the best return. SNDK, ORCL, and PCMS have also done well over this time period. IMNX really does not fit with me, and I will probably sell it soon.siliconinvestor.com My other portfolio I call LindyBills NASDAQ top 25. It presently contains 16 companies, that started out as the top 25 on the NAS 6 weeks, ago, has been pruned, and also contains some Gilder picks that looked interesting. I am up 4.9% overall. 10 days ago I was up 49% overall, so it looks like I really took a hit on this portfolio this last week. However, I added to this one last week, and this really affected the return. These tend to be shiny pebble types, with a starting investment of about 16K. If you see a bigger investment than that, I probably purchased more as the company went up. My biggest investments are in CMVT, and RFMD. My best returns are on VRTS and AMCC. siliconinvestor.com If you want to "What if" me, I would have a larger total portfolio if I had stayed in Q, and not bought these others last week. However, I doubled my cash position by doing so, and I am now 29% cash, which is not shown. This cash position made me sleep a lot better this last week, when we were all getting bombed. I have a limit order in for about 800 Q, and will pick it up some time this month. Other than that, I have no immediate plans to change my portfolios RE: WIND. I probably should take a minor position in it, as a "Pebble", but my feelings are the same as Frank and Mike on this one right now.
