The Financial Post reports in its Friday edition that cash-strapped
SouthernEra Resources is moving its corporate headquarters from Toronto to
Denver, to increase its presence in the United States and raise money.
Reporter Keith Damsell says that in addition, chief financial officer Frank
Van de Water and operations vice-president Kim Freeman have left the small
diamond producer. Eric Kinneberg has been hired to replace Mr. Van de
Water. The dramatic changes on Thursday follow the appointment last week of
Steven Banning, the former chief executive of Golden Queen Mining, as the
company's new chief executive. Mr. Kinneberg was chief financial officer
under Mr. Banning at Golden Queen. John Pearson, formerly of Pegasus Gold,
is the company's new vice-president of investor relations, while Howard
Bird has been promoted to vice-president of exploration. "The idea is that
we get a broader market in the U.S.," says Mr. Kinneberg.

[Looks like the company has been taken over from within (by outsiders?) rather than from outside!]
