pomp: I have crossed over from using play money to serious money with CREE so I don't want any surprises from the company, I can handle the short action from the street. It seems that all three companies that I hold that did secondary stock offerings recently are pulling back a little CREE, ANAD and HUMC. I hope this is just a temporary pause before a run up. john

hi pomp, john, cthr the maker of the moissanite jewelry and a big customer of cree announced in a cc yesterday that they are buying 1 million a month right now from cree. a million a month now by cthr is a huge surprise. many shorts have predicted that a shortfall in cthr purchases would hurt cree. it apppears to me that the suspected shortfall is actually a gain. that is 3 million a quarter or 12.5% of cree's record 24 million last quarter. cree expected it to drop below 10%...even gave that guidance. looking a bit deeper....cree's revs were up 19% sequentially last quarter...roughly 20 million to 24 million. cthr accounted for <15% at 20 million or less than 1 million a month 2 quarters ago...everyone expected cthr SiC purchases to drop significantly...now we know they are actually increasing a bit. other surprises should come from the release of the new and popular (in europe) nokia cell phones and sony PII. both using cree leds. unclewest
