Dan,

It will be interesting to see Willamette performance on real applications. It will also be interesting to see how well all that double-speed pipeline logic scales.

I suspect that Willy benchmarks will be quite good, except for legacy FPU code. It is quite possible that the ALU is the critical path on the chip. If they used too many circuit tricks in the ALU, they may have trouble porting the design to new processes.
