Funny, I just listened to the replay of call yesterday for deal with Convergent (800 633 8284, 14681294#. Only one analyst even bothered to call in. Interesting LMDS / fiber met ring / gig ethernet implementation, pure IP, "next generation" network. ALA offered 175 million vendor financing.

SHARE PRICE:

At first, I thought: Thank God, now we are tied to a rising
(rather than wobbling) star!

Not quite true! There's been a fair bit of good NN news,
but not a lot that I have seen from the ALA side. And we are where we are at this depressed price.

At this point I am not so sure that I want to hang around for ALA shares that don't have any life. Do the arbs short so heavily that they can effectively kill the action in a stock until the merger is done?

Best wishes,
Jim

Probably not far until it gets over the black eye it gave itself by offering to purchase NN. You guys crack me up. I take it you'd rather see the bloodbath that would likely result from canning this deal. Nobody else wants the company. If you guys don't like what you see in ALA as a result of bailing you guys out, you should sell IMO. You think CSCO, LU, NT or any other stock would act much different if they bought NN. Doubt it, they probably would have lost much more ground than ALA.

Good luck whatever you do.
