Tax questions across the Planet are beyond my area of expertise <G>. Even the single country taxes are a problem though. I believe that Divine Interventures (DVIN) is going to try to address the American taxes on these holding companies through changes in the laws or regulations. How successful they will be may be a political question, but they have Chicago's Mayor Daley behind them. A Daley brother is at the Commerce Department in Washington DC. Hopefully any changes in the tax status of these Internet Zaibatsus (like DVIN and Softbank and CMGI) will benefit us all. BTW I think that DVIN is trying to copywrite the term "Internet Zaibatsu" for their exclusive use <G>.
