More important, AMD has added "Profits Now!"

Pravin, re:<If AMD has added PowerNow! and the Athlon's new 3DNow! instructions to the K6II+, I wonder if there is any possibility that they also reworked the L2 Cache interface. The Culeron will have the low latency L2 that the Coppermine has. This would also give AMD a chance to test it out before the T-bird release and make the product more competitive.>

Culeron = CuMine 128K, cute

Do we know for sure it has the ATC? Maybe it has the low latency but half the bandwidth (128 bit wide instead of 256).

Anyhow, I'm very pleased that it looks like K6-2+ will beat Culeron to market. We need K6-2+ to match Intel until the socket motherboards are ready for Spitfire.

If K6-2+ is only sold up to 550 MHz like K6-2 but overclocker sites find that it easily hits 600, it may be a sign that the "mid range chip" Spitfire is almost ready.

Then again, if the socket motherboards won't be ready for a while, they may be forced to match the Culeron clock speeds with the K6-2+.

Where is Culeron anyway? It should have been out by now.

And where is the high-end CuMine with 512K or more of on-die cache? Is there any chance Intel will be able to get that chip to run as fast as the regular CuMine?

Intel only has one product on 0.18. AMD has two and is about to have 3.
