Wow, that is an exemplar of poor reporting. The unattributed author obviously don't understand why options are exercised or the meaning of "cash out".

Chambers may not understand technology like Roth of NT but he understands profit taking. Smart man --- hedging his bet just in case CSCO's growth machine breaks down in the pending battle for the Optics space (NT, LU, ALA), and it's implication on their bread & butter source of revenue -- edge routers and enterprise routers (Sycamore, Juniper, Corvis, etc.). I wonder if he knows more about the state of CSCO's market than the average CSCO retail investors?
