Thanks team for the BMW/Delphi/GLE verification, the Sprott report confirms this news report from almost a year ago. At that time the engineering target was auxiliary power units, which has been successful, and they'll be on the 'store shelves' as soon as possible. The second part will be hybrids, and the last part of the project targeted for 2003-2004 will be for powerplant units. Excerpted from.
THE NIGHTLY AUTOMOTIVE REPORT, TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 1999, #511

"DELPHI AND BMW ANNOUNCED THEY'RE GOING TO PRODUCE A FUEL CELL THAT WILL BE AN AUXILIARY POWER UNIT ON CARS. THE SOLID-OXIDE FUEL CELL WILL PROVIDE MORE ENERGY IN A VEHICLE TO INCREASE ELECTRICAL POWER. IT COULD ALSO BE USED IN HYBRID VEHICLES, AND IT COULD ULTIMATELY BECOME THE POWERPLANT IN A CAR. DELPHI AND BMW PLAN TO PRODUCE THE SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL IN THE NEAR FUTURE."
