IMO, It is hard to judge how close JDSU is to becoming the king of the optical component market. NT, LU, etc. do not breakout revenues for their internal optical component divisions, so it is hard to figure out JDSU's true market-share.

I think it is important for investors to take this into account. There is always a possibility for NT or LU to spin-off their internal divisions (like AT&T spun-off Lucent), and these could become significant competitors to JDSU, SDLI, etc, at some point in the future.

Re the Wacko market--Yep. It is. (But, I won't be selling my Kings or Gorillas based on price or the market. GG buys and sells should be on the basis of news, not price. Now, if I can maintain the discipline to keep to that rule!)

From Chapter 7 of the Gorrila Game Rule 10:
Most news has nothing to do wth the gorilla game. Learn to ignore it.
