Apollo, I agree with your posts and classifications, but am assuming you meant to say ctxs, not citx.

RE: JDSU

Thanks everyone for your analysis of JDSU.

we are talking about the same topics that we have covered so many times before. But so far we have not come to a conclusion.

I guess I have a theoretical gorilla gaming question at this point:

Is it better to invest in a strong king or take risks with future gorilla potentials?

For example: If you were to invest 15% of your portfolio, would you invest it in companies like GMST, ELON, or CREE or put the money in one of a kind king like JDSU?

I have another question that might be a bit too personal but I wanted to know why Uncle Frank and Mr. Buckly have not taken a position in JDSU (Lindybill took a position but due to his move to the top QQQ performers).

RE: JDSU and Moore's words

I've provided the links as well as the original words from Geoff Moore about his JDSU comments as well as his follow up comments on the GG listserv digest previously on the G&K thread. Some will recall that discussion.

I don't have the info handy at the moment, but Geoff Moore feels like most of us do on this board - JDS Uniphase is a King. He had been quoted making comments something to the likes of "up and coming possible gorillas Qualcomm and JDS Uniphase" and he didn't even remember what he had said. When asked about it on the GG listserv, he didn't recall making the exact comments and said from his understanding, as well as other gorilla game investors - JDS Uniphase was a King.

The exact words are on this thread somewhere if you dig back some time to the fall of 1999 under my posts. I don't have time to search for them at the moment.
