Zoltan; As anyone who read the article can
see, you were right on
the money with your post. There was absolutely NOTHING underhanded in the actions of the Cisco execs! The fact that Chambers increased his holdings by 100,000 shares is very reassuring.cb

i was talking with a buddy of mine today... He suggested to me that LU without their enterprise business is

Less-end

I thought it was pretty funny. I can't believe McGinn built an organization to go after CSCO's enterprise business and in less than a year decides to spin it off. Seems like he didn't even give it a chance. Now COMS is going the same route. Now if we take a step back in time....

The argument was that LU would add data and come after Cisco's traditional businesses and Cisco would add voice and go after LU's. Seems like LU is giving up... and CSCO continues to execute. Remember NT basically gave up as well not in words but in deeds. They dropped prices on their routers and are cash cowing them and are attempting to commoditize routing with OIE. HA! Routing isn't a CD or an SDK!

So, in conclusion... looks like CSCO is defending the turf very nicely.. and now - they simply have to continue to execute on SP's and voice which by all measures they are doing (projected 80% plus growth in the SP's this year per the VP of the SP business at CSCO).

No wonder this thing is getting such a high valuation - it deserves it. I'm impressed!
