Ted (ot) - other than ad stocks, DD is the sector I follow the closest. I did very well with HMTT, RDRT and MXTR a year ago (or so). More volatile (and profitable) way of playing this sector is buying the suppliers of the film and the heads.

I bought KMAG & HMTT last week. Very happy with those. KMAG stinks but the street likes to hype them. HMTT is the AMD of film makers.

I've made two purchases of HTCH, one is still in the red, but I averaged down two weeks ago. This is a VERY good company.

I've been a long time holder of SEG, I've bought on many dips.

But I'm looking for a continued run on HMTT, WDC, KMAG, RDRT, MXTR, HTCH, SEG AND HDD.

ted, re investment in HDD makers. Anyone know how owns PROMISE? Seems to me that their RAID solutions for IDE drives might catch on it servers. Why isn't Adaptec doing that?
