OTOTOT Betty and Guy: You both have hit on something I have pondered lately. I have a number of friends and business associates who have done very well in recent years due to the fine economy and good investing. Yet, few if any live as if they are "rich". Most seem to still drive the 92 Ford Explorer, live in the same house, buy the same food, wear the same clothes. Yes, they have funded retirement and children's education better than before.....but where is the "wealth effect" that so many are worried about? I am sure there are those speculative types who by nature love risk for risk's sake and will spend as madly as they invest. But I feel there is an enormous core of people who fit the "millionaire next door" catagory and live according to whatever principles they started the game with. I find this observation extremely encouraging, and feel it is one reason this Country is still on the rise.

Sorry to ramble.
