I would hope OGPS would have better things to spend their money on than suing former employees.

Mike, I haven't been following the RB thread either, but I hear that OGPS will be responding with a lawsuit against the poster and former employee.... just what I hear, not confirmed.

Hi Jim. I guess the lawsuit threat is true. I emailed Gary and asked him to comment on the post. I received this back within a couple of hours:

OMICRON TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

March 17, 2000

NEWS RELEASE

OMICRON TECHNOLOGIES CLARIFIES RECENT STAFF CHANGES

Omicron Technologies, Inc. (NQB Pink Sheets : OGPS), in early March of this year, became aware that certain employees were attempting to leave the company's employ and take control of our gaming software, including our essentially complete Bingo software, by starting another company with these assets as its focus. The terms offered by these individuals were completely unacceptable to Omicron's directors and, as a result, a number of employees either left the company or were encouraged to resign.

It is alleged that several employees became disgruntled and frustrated as a result of the failure to fulfill their personal agendas and acquire control of our lengthy and costly investment in developing this software. In an effort to discredit Omicron, and by association depress the share price, a very public posting on an internet bulletin board by someone representing himself as a former employee and calling himself Mendes and giving the email address of pmendes@d3mail.com, is factually incorrect and clearly libelous. Our legal counsel has now commenced to vigorously seek legal remedies against the author for making damaging and maliciously false allegations against the company and some of its current directors and employees. The company will also seek legal remedies against certain former employees for serious and damaging breaches of their duties and responsibilities to the company while they were in its employ.

Omicron Technologies, Inc. is in the business of acquisition, research and development, and marketing of leading edge technologies and Internet-based business concepts. Through a combined strategy of focusing on specific marketing niches and speedy development of its proprietary technologies, Omicron expects to gain significant market penetration in these areas.
