Jack, I seem to remember something that Ben Franklin said: "Those who give up essential liberty, to preserve a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety".

There's a price for freedom, it doesn't come cheap. People have given their lives for it, it shouldn't be given up so easily IMO.

<<...the basic question--Why did not...Bothers me to this day!!>>

Please Jack you know the answer.

That information is inside your awake consciousness.

Those bad dreams we all have that result in a thankfullness for the
real world to reinstate itself, no matter how poor we think we have it.

A place, a world where common sense and correctness and be accountable is
the normal, rather than a fear of every action we take where we will be punished
not for a wrong, but because someone else can hold whatever we do,
even we do good, and they can declare that they have suffered too much.

My younger brother got his M.D. and completed all remaining stuff needed
to strike out into the world and help the sick. I asked if he will get
the liscense plate for his car with the md label, and he replied no.

I was confused, not that I felt that it was a status symbol to proclaim
to feed one's self of grander, but as a flag to others that if human need
of healing is required unexpected, then that car carries help.

But my brother spoke about doctors helping those in need when no other
medical help was available, and many got sued not for neglect on the
doctor's part, but the doc was a means to obtain money in today's lawyer
initiated tactics to help suck money "from them to you."

So he travels and tells noone his skill, and lies if asked.

I bet more than one hero police officer would have stormed that school,
like I or you would, to contain and stop the killing. But then I and
your lawyer would have advised against it, else be sued.
Todays police are under strick orders from top to not do whats needed
unless get prior ok from one who consulted and on and on.

You know all this, its the puke slime we wish to not know.

Doug
