Elmer:

Re: " I have some shares in another account that are now uncovered and I am very tempted to write some April $50 CCs. There is am amazing $6 premium for them! That's a 12% premium for 1 month!!!

Comment: I did notice that it closed right at $50 and I'm the proud owner of quite a few shares on Monday as I exercised my March 50's...Concerning April calls, I'm sitting on a goodly number of them and I won't sell them to you for $6 even though that's, in a relative sense, a very healthy timing premium...I won't sell them for two reasons...AMD is undervalued at $50 and has finished consolidating in the $50 range and now that the March options are out of the way, one can expect a swift move back to test the $58 - $63 upper 5 year trading range boundary...AMD Q1 earnings are likely to come in at $1.07 which will in all likelihood catapult AMD into the uncharted area well above $63...If correct in my near term assessment, APRil 50 calls will trade at $20 before expiry...Wait 'til after earnings releaase to write your calls Elmer! We're in the "buy call" zone at $50!
