While the QQQ split probably is geared towards making it more affordable to the retail investor, the volume in QQQ is institutional, and it does not trade like an equity, but like an index, and as such, I see it run with the futures more than anything else.

So I see no impact from the split in terms of overall price action independent of the overall price action of the NDX.
