<<So what is your point... >>

Do you mean what is my question? My question was how many music players did Maycom need to sale in order to make $30 million in revenue last year?

bob, interesting.. doesn't the entertainment industry produce product in multiple formats, etc. if i were sony, panasonic, emi, virgin, etc. i'd sell as much product as i could in as many shapes, formats, etc., as long as my copy rights were preserved. remember beta, vhs, cd. remember 8 track, cassette, & cds. in my opinion the owners of content are interested in content, copy right protection, and $$$$.. the producers of music playing devices are interested in standards, adhering to them, and producing product that will allow them to take advantage of these markets, whether or not they are dominated by mp3 or whomever else. that is why i like edig. edig does need to dominate the market. i'd settle for 5% of this future multi-billion dollar market. just an opinion. cnep
