I agree that an investor's has to keep up with global news!

And, you've got to watch your portfolio every day!

Old news forms our knowledge base, and in the news today, the company's CEO may tell us what he expects for next quarter's earnings or even next year's earnings. This kind of news is good for long-term investors.

I don't know how important it is to a trader because the market may or may not respond to the news immediately.

And yes, it is important to read The Economist, Scientific America or even Wired Magazine if you can find the articles.They are buried in pages of advertisements so I tear out the advertisements in order to find the articles.

Read! Listen! Travel! And you will learn!
