Guy, That's the point. The reporter is telling us after the fact. If BOTH the crazy NAZ (by crazy I mean no buyers since most traders felt the stock was going lower, and normal paniced sellers were bailing for capital preservation and margin call selling......)and that specific arb was selling ETEK to close his position, then ETEK would freefall like it did. This combination makes PEFECT sense. It only subsided after facts started filtering out,buyers came back in when the NAZ reversed, the seller stopped selling and others saw a bargain (without knowing the rumor). We're still not even with JDSU, and although we had a great day, we've still got some ground to make up. Let's keep our ears to the ground. This isn't a real slam dunk anymore. On another subject: If I have 909 shares of ETEK, how many shares of JDSU will I get? This is NOT a trick question, I just want to see if I get the round-up or round-down answer....<g> Steve
