mtnlady,

Tell me about it! I went through a similar nightmare a few months ago. It took me six months to recover my money. The best thing to do is to plan in advance and foresee the potential problems, for many of these people are plain incompetent.

Best,

MKB

When I moved to Schwab, it took 45 days to clear. I was in a tax shelter also. I think the only way to move money between brokers,if you are not locked up in a plan, is to get a ck from them, and walk it over to the new broker.

Mtnlady--a number of people on our options thread are using Wall Street Access and I've just begun the switch. Anyone who uses it thinks it's great. Mucho Maas uses it, so does edamo, and now Poet and I are going to try it. They're particularly good at options, apparently. They can handle retirement and regular accounts.
