Hello, DTF thread! I have been taking a bit of a 'Si hiatus' for the past few months. Thought I'd drop in and extend a Hello to my old buddies, counterparts, and esteemed colleagues: Alan, Oz, Eric, Dan, Vadym, LPS5, Dean, Cormac, Paul, Kelster, Leland, ChickenMan (sorry;), Teresa, etc. I have about 4,000 posts to catch up on by now just on this thread, so wish me luck ;) LOL My non-trading business obligations have been a bit on the intense side for the past few months... I've racked up over 40,000 miles on United since the top of the year, including 3 trips to Europe and hopping around all over the states. A bit of an epiphany recently -- when I logged onto MB Trading (no glitches - worked very well!) and daytraded for extended periods from Europe (Paris and London; ~2:30PM-10:30PM for the U.S. market), dialing in using Earthlink's local #'s in France and the U.K. I was also able to successfully use Pristine's new interactive audio capabilities in their "Real-Time room" from there. I'm still trading as actively as usual, and will be back on-thread regularly ASAP (I just bought a lifetime Si membership, so I guess I'm committed!). I've been enjoying the "trendy" nature of the Nasdaq by swing-trading and position-trading my old friends e.g. CMGI, RBAK, BRCD, QCOM, LU, IBM, BMCS, AMGN, LGTO, GBLX, SUNW, CSCO, JNPR, and QQQ during this period. It's worked out well enough, even though I've not been able to set in front of the market every day to fine-tune entries and exits; usually just an hour or two to monitor and manage positions, set stops and entry levels. Too bad we can't *always* count on the techs to trade so forgivingly as the past few months! Trending with mostly minor pullbacks "only" -- life would be easy ;) There is a daytrading expo in Oakland next weekend (you've discussed that on thread) -- maybe I'll see some of you there? Amazing, almost 8,000 posts on this thread now! Eric that is really something. Regards, -Steve
