Perhaps not perceived in the US is that Europeans are just now having the benefits of competition in every service. This is leaving more income in their pockets. The time a computer would cost the double it cost in the US are over.

Retailing is being turned upside down. This is desinflation. Prices are coming down. Consumers in Europe start to behave more like Americans.
