Mike, Right on !! To add to your post, once stored in electronic form, searching based on keywords (or other intelligent forms) would be valuable enough to ensure high switching costs. I can't tell you the number of times, when I know I have read something in "Red Herring" or some trade publication, and I spend hours trying to find the exact issue and page number. Once a person comes to depend on their eBooks for reference material and research, the lock and switching costs would be almost as high as an AOL subscriber who wants to change his/her email address.
