I agree that getting fills is more important than commissions. However, I have yet to find a live broker that I can actually pick up the phone and get a trade placed and confirmed in less that 90 seconds after the phone starts to ring. Probably never will. Also, I am pretty weak-minded, and even being on hold on the phone reduces my concentration on other stocks and I usually end up making mistakes while I am on the phone. Being the dimwit that I am, I need all my powers of concentration in order to be successful, and talking to a broker on the phone greatly reduces my concentration. BUT if you or anyone has a REALLY good broker that answers the phone without being put on hold 8 of 10 times, and the commissions are under 50 bucks, let me know. But you might want to do it privately, cause if you post it here, those nice qualities might go away with the flood of calls. ;-)

All I have to add to your post is that I know EXACTLY what you are experiencing..If these entities really want to make money they would clean up their act because they are running potential investors away from OTCBB..because of their complete greed I assume. The past week has given me 3 horror stories in getting fills...the worst part of it is to call a bottom or top and not be able to exit or enter until the ensuing top or bottom..if you get my drift..whipsaw I believe is the proper term..

Tom, this has been exactly my experience as well with HZRG.
so much so that I don't even really expect to get a fill unless hzrg is on the bid when I'm trying to sell, or on the ask when I'm trying to buy... so I can't buy at the bottom, or sell at the top, because hzrg simply won't fill the order. I've been having to send in multiple buys or sells, at varying limit prices hoping to get an execution on something. Sometimes I make trades I don't really want to make, either selling too soon, or buying too late, just cause hrzg is momentarily on the respective bid or ask, and I can potentially get an execution. Now I'm refocusing on NAZ trades mostly due to these problems..

I see tons of other OTC BB orders filling at prices I can't either buy or sell at, due to no fills thru hrzg.. that is, not being able to buy one moving up, or sell one moving down. There must be some authority appropriate for scrutinizing this market makers trading patterns. If I have a sell order pending even with a limit well below many market makers bids, hrzg often won't fill the sell until the stock shows some kind of upward movement or buying volume.. pretty amazing.
