Neo, If this doesn't turn your stomach and make people realize "partial birth abortion" is wrong. I don't know what will.

The following account is taken from an actual interview with an individual which we will refer to as "Kelly."

traditionalvalues.org./fetal/enter.html

The abortionist walked into the lab carrying a steel pan. Got you some good specimens. Twins, he said.

The lab technician, Kelly, a baby body parts harvester, looked down at two perfectly formed 24-week-old babies. Except for a few nicks from the surgical tongs these babies were unharmed. In fact, Kelly recounts, they were both alive...they were moving and gasping for air.

There is something wrong here, Kelly protested. They are moving. I can?t do this. Thats not in my contract.

Kelly watched as the abortionist filled the pan with water until it covered the nose and mouth of each baby. At that point she left the room. I would not watch those fetuses moving, she recalls. That is when I decided it was wrong.

Kelly, the baby body parts harvester, says that this occasion, as well as several others, lead her to take her story to Life Dynamics Inc. (LDI), a pro-life group based in Texas.

LDI recently released Kelly's statement. Accompanying her testimony is page after page of documentation, which Traditional Values Coalition has carefully reviewed. From baby body part orders, to price charts, to a full color glossy brochure from a baby wholesaler; the undeniable evidence paints a picture of a ghoulish industry that sells baby body parts like a junk yard sells wrecked cars.

"Kelly" worked for Anatomic Gift Foundation. She was a lab technician assigned to a Planned Parenthood clinic where she dissected aborted babies and shipped them across the United States. She readily admits that she was never an employee of the abortion clinic.

I worked for an outside source. Hired, with a team, to go in and dissect and procure fetal tissue, she explains. Basically to dissect tissue for high quality sales.

Kellys testimony continues to detail how baby wholesalers are illegally selling baby body parts from inside the actual clinic. Her testimony reveals direct violations of federal law. (Click here to learn about the law.)

Kelly explains that they would receive a list of baby parts that researchers, pharmaceutical companies, universities, and government agencies were interested in purchasing. Then she would look at the patient charts...[and] screen out all the ones with diseases or abnormalities.

These had to be the best specimens we could give the researchers, for the best value that we could sell for, says Kelly. Abnormal or deformed babies were regularly screened out. Contrary to the popular argument that most late term abortions are due to fetal abnormalities, Kelly testifies that there were only 2% that had abnormalities...95% of the time... it was just that [the mother] was there to get rid of the baby.

When asked if the abortionists ever altered their procedures for the purpose of procuring baby parts, Kelly replied:

Yes. Every day when we would go in to do procedures, the doctor would come in...to see the list of what ...we needed. Then he would basically get us the most complete, intact specimens that he could. And what I mean by that is that all the limbs, the arms, the head, the chest cavity, were never invaded, they were all completely intact....just so we could sell better tissue...so that our company would make more money. And at the end of the year, they would actually give the clinic back more money since we got good specimens.

Kelly continues to testify that sometimes the babies would appear to be dead, but when you opened up the chest cavity, you'd see the heart beating. These incidents as well as the incident of the live birth twins, recounted earlier illustrate a growing plague that the abortion industry is trying to conceal. This dirty secret confirms what pro-life ethicists and activists have been predicting all along: that the dehumanizing slope of abortion would generate a ghastly disrespect for the gift and miracle of life and eventually lead to an ascendance of death for profit.

Most abortion procedures will not render an undamaged crop of baby parts. The one abortion procedure that does regularly produce marketable babies is the partial-birth abortion procedure. The partial-birth abortion technique is commonly used for late-term abortions. This procedure requires the women to be dilated by a multiple day process. Then the doctor uses a pair of tongs to grasp the baby's legs and to pull the entire baby, except the head, feet-first and face down out of the mother. Before the baby is completely delivered (all except the head) the doctor punctures the skull and siphons out the child's brains. Many believe that the growing popularity of the partial-birth abortion procedure and the motivation to produce better baby parts for more money have led to an increase in the number of live birth abortions? that are occurring in hospitals and clinics across this nation.

The women undergoing late term abortions are required to stay near the clinic for two days while they are dilated. Many stay in local hotels awaiting the third day of the procedure.

?But...sometimes, recounts Kelly, [the mother] would go into labor and the fetus would expel itself out...and then they would call the doctor, and [the doctor] would go to the motel room and pick up the woman and the fetus...And that's when they would give us a call during the night, and say Okay, we've got a couple of specimens here for you,...We would then go, and the specimens would be in a bucket...we knew it was alive ...when [we] opened up the chest cavity and the heart was still beating...sometimes you could even see movement in the bucket. They had to come out alive...there was no way for those fetuses to be coming out dead...My guess is that they had to kill them in the bucket...or put them in a corner and let them die slowly.
