I left Ameritrade over a year ago for this very reason. I was using Freerealtime to access level 1 quotes. I placed an order to sell 5,000 shares of EFTC at a limit of 5. It was the best offer and it didn't appear on the screen all day. Tried it at 4-7/8 the following day...and again....it never showed up. I got screwed and I told Ameritrade....and I could actually picture the pimply-faced punk on the other end just shrugging his shoulders like I was boring him as I cussed them out. Haven't traded with them since.
