sorry i didn't get there names... or extensions.. but you should call anonymously and ask 2 or 3 folks yourself... for the past 4 months I've been told by DOZENS of folks at etrade that there is "NO LIMIT" to the number of cash accounts a person can open and that each account can participate in IPOs.. i think you are getting singled out.. either that or no one in customer service has yet been notified of this pathetic change.. if in fact, they are doing such a thing. just dropped in to see if anyone had new info... gotta run... will try and check in tomorrow to see if anything new develops... take care oh, has anyone else here besides hispeed experienced this with etrade closing all your accounts? jim

Its Etrades own fault, for them to close an account for that reason is rediculous. I dont know how much you have or anything, but I feel its rediculous in general for Etrad e to give IPOs to new, $1000 account. Hell, if I had $1000 and I made $5000 on one IPO, I'd flip too. I feel they should keep IPOs for larger accounts if they dont want flipping, as I know people with a lot more $$ in the market are not so fast to flip a stock for $1000. If they are going to keep it up, they should expect flippers. Also, I got my Brown and Co account closed for no reason too...I think it was because I overtraded and bitched about some executions...they got sick of me standing up for myself so they closed me down. Also, if Etrade says you can open as many accounts as you want, thats rediculous too. I would leave Etrade for this crap, as they are making a mockery out of the business.
