G* = Globalstar = GSTRF Qualcomm owns about 11% of Globalstar, provided most of their technology, built the groundstations, and manufactures CDMA Globalstar phones. (Other companies make GSM Globalstar phones -- or at least Ericsson will if they ever get past the regulatory hurdles.) There is an active (if depressing as of late) SI Globalstar board populated by many of the same people who post on the various QCOM boards.
