And this problem does not only exist at E*Trade. Other brokers have similar problems with hiring knowledgeable reps - as do IPSs, cable modem access companies such as AT&T@home, computer companies, etc. This is just part of the "fun" we face with the severity of the skilled labor shortage and rapid turnover in the "on-line" assistance arena. It's discouraging that it takes multiple calls, emails and faxes to straighten out problems that never should have occurred in the first place. I have come to understand that this is a fact of life that hopefully can be improved upon in the future but I DOUBT IT!
