george,

re "Thanks for the tip"

you're welcome. but did it work? <g3>

re "I notice that most web pages are able to hide their HTML if you try to view it with a web browser"

i can view html with netscape communicator4.7 by right-clicking the page and selecting 'view source'. also ie5.0, depending on where you click on the page.

i haven't used symantec's visualpage. never have gotten around to creating a web page. i figure if i start in with that, i'll never ever get off the internet.

:)

mark

as far as i know, there is no way to hide HTML code. can you give an example of a site that uses this trick? and how do you normally try to view code?

as mark said, usually there is an item in the browser's right-click menu that let's you view the source/code/HTML of a page.

it could be that you are getting the source of the frameset instead of the actual frame. or you could be trying to view the source of a Java applet or a Flash movie.
