Zeev,
Your points are relevant, but certainly we can't let our investment decisions be based on what could possibly happen. It is important to differentiate between what is possible and what is probable. Some of the points you make are possible, but not likely. I would like to go into more detail, but my dog is giving me the big stare. I told him an hour ago that I'd take him for a walk.

That wasn't a good attempt at balanced thinking. That's why you've so badly blundered your rambus trading. Zeev, all I'm saying is that you've been wrong consistantly in your trading calls on rambus. Don't listen to your self. You'll keep losing money. Get in gradually at these levels.

Zeev, you can call for commission on a new member.

<<On the negative side we have the perceived loss of the Nitendo and MSFT x-Box, problems with the memory card on some PSII, and not much of a very strong endorsement from users of RMBS units, that while DELL has been shipping these in quantities. >>

Also I agree we may have pullback next week, I have some reserves on the reasons you mention above:

X-BOX:
-the news about the xbox using DDR is more than one week old, here is a link: wired.com

- in both articles that mention DDR, it is more the writer opinion than real facts. The Microsoft Specs do not mention the type of Memory

- If it is true that Micosoft switched to intel on the last day, then it is normal that AMD had initially proposed DDR, but there will be many modifications in the specs that needs to be changed to accommodate INTC, and DRD is probably on top of the list

- as tench said, given that XBox will only use 64M of ram, makes DRD much cheaper than DDR for this application. Sony did say they saved more than 20$/unit thanks to Rambus

NINTENDO:
Scumbria said it is the first time he hears about that one, even though it was discussed here several month ago, here is a link dated october 25:
techweb.com

SONY:
The problems are related to the add on Flash memory module, nothing to do with Rambus

Regarding the possible problems that may come up with Dell's machines, are you trying to start a rumor ? <G>

For the people attacking Zeev, you have to understand he is more a day trader than an long term investor, and he is a very good one.
you should try to ignore what he says if you are in for the long run. if you want to try to follow him, you will probably end up burning your fingers, it is not as easy as he makes it look.

Hi Zeev,

Im beginning to think that youve become emotionally attached to the magic $330 figure :)

The perceived loss of the Nintendo is more likely factored into the price already - I see the run from < $100 to $471 to be more a reaction to the Intel announcement than to any perceived Nintendo wins. Even assuming the Nintendo played a big part, you can equally well argue that the market "knew abt it already" and pushed rmbs down to $393.

The PSII problems have to do with the flash memory component of the device and not with RDRAM technology. If your contention is that this may _indirectly_ cause RMBS to fall, I think you could have stated that. Speculating about "problems with the memory card on some PSII" is just spreading FUD.

On the positive side we have the 4-1 split coming up, likely upgrades and price targets by Wall Street analysts in the following weeks, stronger sales of high end PCs in the coming quarters, and oh, a 5% plus owner causing a potential short squeeze. All this is, again, sheer speculation, but I was trying to construct a paragraph similar to your "On the negative side.." one.

This is not to argue that RMBS will not fall to $330 - heck, it may tank to $230 even - if fear overtakes greed, but just to suggest that you may be trying to retrofit your technical analysis ("gravestone doji") with fundamental selectively chosen yet-to-be events.

Good luck to us all
Anand
