E! As usual, excellent, prudent advice. Following your lead on the timing for going to cash would have let me do MUCH better taking advantage of the bargains... Despite some trading success, my results were negative over all accounts for this "Al Bounce" Dow game.
The bounce was quite a bit better than I would have guessed -- but then you did make that VERY public announcement about picking up old economy stocks, so perhaps we shouldn't have been all THAT surprised <GG>...
I'm still reviewing the "really" speculative portion of my "stuff"... Looks like I have been much too early on a few of them.... and to add to the list, I am picking up a little GSTRF, now that the Iridium mess has wacked both GSTRF and my ORB.

RMTR should be a continuing good play, although it appears to be doing a little consolidating after the recent action -- I still appreciate having that for the coming year or two....really a good spec bet. NERX is another one that we are too early on... will need to get through some trials and sneak a little closer to real earnings before an expected significant runup. Barely a hold, based on current TA......sigh....
Your caution about the extent, and duration, of the Dow recovery, imho, is well stated. To me there is an excellent chance that folks will use the runup as an opportunity to get out of positions they regretted having when the techs and biotechs were running. And, I suspect, much of that money will flow back into the high flying funds..
I'm continuing to emphasize the small cap funds, and expect to do so over the next couple of years... they have been absolutely marvelous over the past 12 months, but they usually outperform for at least as long as their previous underperformance, so I think we have a couple more years to run... (hope so, at least)<G>
Would you expect a little steadier (less volatile) market the last half of this year -- after Allen G. has presumably "done his thing"?
