-OT- Taiwan.

We'll know very soon. Stock market in Taipei will open when it is sunday night in the US.

My guess : massive selling by some, massive buying by the taiwan government and government pension funds. At the end of the day drop will be small. Taiwan has enough cash reserves to prop up their market indefinitely. Like HK (much to soros' sorrow), this is a government that has run up MASSIVE budget surpluses over many years, they will not allow chaos in their markets.

But, I also doubt if the communists will praise chen theoretically or otherwise as you claim. If you followed the events recently, from China's taiwan whitepaper to Zhu's recent speech, I think you'll draw a very different conclusion.

The analysts who predicted a Lien (KMT) victory are also now predicting a few days of turbulence. Throw enough darts at the wall, something's gotta stick.
