Thanks for pointing that interview with Goldman out.

One of the points he made in the interview that I found interesting was when the interviewer asked about how they were marketing the product. He pointed out that because this is basically a product that allows integration between trading partners, once one company adopts the product, it has incentive to encourage all their trading partners to also adopt it, so it has a spider web effect. One company can have 20 or more trading partners.

He also pointed out their strategic partnerships with companies that specialize in replacing the older, closed, proprietary EDI systems with XML based systems.

Another point, in dealing with the investment community, he said the challenge is in changing the perception of the company as an "embedded database" company to the new business that they are engaged in, because obviously the market rewards the companies in the B2B category with much higher market caps. The interviewer even introduced him as running an "embedded database" company.
