I'd like to nominate RTIN for the List. This is a company that I have been close to for a long time. They were a $4 stock about 2 years ago. They had some problems, got into some trouble with some Debenture holders...got shorted, got sued...and had about every kind of problem that a BB company could have, but they are turning around. They have settled the lawsuit with the debenture holders. They have made 2 recent acquisitions. And after working for over a year on the Fatburger acquisition, it looks like they are about to pull it off. This company, last May, when they first signed definitive documents to purchase Fatburger, was a $2.50-$3 stock....but after the deal kept getting delayed and postponed many shareholders got disgusted and gave up. Their original financing fell thru at the last minute, and they scrambled for quite a while trying to get financing. The price really suffered and based in the .50 range for quite a while. But now, I belive the financing has been secured, and I don't believe that management will make some of the same mistakes they made in the original financing/acquisition deal.

Recently the company looks to be turning around.

They have acquired Tanners Restaurants(Formally ROTI) and acquired it at a very good price (9 restaurants for less than a half million dollars)
Tanners PR: biz.yahoo.com

Then they acquired a B to B Professional Services Company on Feburary 22.

Here's the PR about the terms of the Tanners and RSI deal:

Then Friday they again announced they have signed documents to purchase Fatburger:
biz.yahoo.com

A bit over a year ago, without Tanners or RSI, and just the hope of Fatburger...this was a $3 stock. I believe that right now RTIN is significantly undervalued...and with the Fatburger Acquisition, this could easily be another 10 bagger.

A little over a year ago, analyst Stewart Bockler put out a report that this would be a $10-$12 stock with Fatburger.
RTIN was just a whisper away from the Nasdaq at one time. Fatburger has a huge expansion potential. I have heard in the past that RTIN already has up to 500 franchises lined up as soon as the deal was completed. Fatburger has been tied to several famous people, including David Letterman, Magic Johnson, and Mel Gibson. Many people think that it has a chance to become the next McDonalds or Wendys.

You can see their website at fatburger.net.

Anyway, RTIN has a closing date set for April 14, which would satisfy your requirements for an "upcoming event date"

RTIN has always been fully reporting, has 10.3M shares outstanding and 7.5M shares in the float.

I feel that RTIN would make a great addition to the Golden List, as it looks to be quite a turnaround play, and has a very significant upcoming event that is less than a month away.

I have been a shareholder of RTIN for a long time. I originally bought shares in 1992, in a private placement for .50. At the time, they basically had nothing but a dream, but I liked the management and their ideas. I have met all of them, and have been to 3 shareholders meetings. They are a "real" company. It is really unbelieveable that a person can buy shares at a price not much above what I originally paid for them almost 8 years ago.

RTIN finished up .31 on friday at .75 x .87

Matt,

How are you?

It was probably good to sell with 80 $ a large part of UPGD. It was not smart to sell with 90 $ a large part of AUTONOMY(current 185$). TMTV starts slowly. I expect still another little more. What always that means.
LOL!

My opinion about stock market:
In individuals, insanity is rare, but in crowd, it is normal.

Either the stock market doubles itself, in order to correct 98 %.
Or it corrects from the current conditions around 95 %. Thus in both cases, NASDAQ and DOW approximately ends at 300 points. Plus / minus 150 points.

Since the market varies very strongly, I earn in both directions magnificently. Whether upward or down. Me everything is OK.

Greetings
Manfred
