DN, Thanks for your response-- and, I, too, am sensitive to thread bloat. However, I must disagree that an explanation of routers, switches, and hubs are off topic. Many of the companies involved are, have been, or will playing a gorilla game and we gorilla chasers might benefit. That said, I certainly respect your thoughts and will PM my request. Thanks again. Can you comment on the possibility that WIND's TMS is a discontinuous innovation that will reshape the networking industry? wrs.com Note: Cerent used this on it's 454 SONET box prior to the $6.9 billion CSCO buyout. Zhone, founded by some former Ascend execs, is also using it.
