Why is ATHM losing market share and in essence being dumped by T

It is considered imperative that you back up the claim with some kind of proof

The odd thing is that in a way he is correct.

1) ATHM is indeed losing market share if you define the "market" as non-dial up internet access. When you were once the *only* person in the market by definition you are losing market share. Now there is DSL, wireless etc coming on line.

2) AT&T can also be interpreted to be "in essense dumping" @home. After all- they have clearly stated that @home will no longer be exclusive. The fact that anyone with half a brain knew that two years ago is irrelevant since most of the market has a lot less than half a brain. AT&T has also IMO gone out of thier way many times to punish ATHM reputation and stock price. Why? I have no clue there...

Don't scare away the fish- he's the only one on SI willing to tell us what the market is thinking.
