Those results are all in the past. They don't matter anymore. The high-fliers have peaked. If I'm wrong, fine, but that's my gut. Investors are more cautious now. Flows to tech mutual funds will slow down in favor of safer sectors such as blue chips. And some to value. We'll see what happens from here. But somehow I feel safer with IBM with its 3.9 billion guaranteed yearly income (plus a lot more) trading at 25 PE. After taking a bath on some smaller stocks this is where my frightened ass is going. I'm only looking for modest gains from now on until December maybe. Only undervalued leaders. And if you don't think IBM, LU, CPQ etc. are leaders then you believe too much of the high-flier hype. Hype deserved to a degree but lately it's gotten overblown. Somebody eating LU's lunch? I don't think so. Just a hiccup. Within two quarters computer, software and telco earnings should be most impressive. WCOM is another undervalued one, assuming their merger situation resolves itself soon.

We obviously have different styles. Lately yours have been more profitable and I applaud you. But I have gotten more cautious. That could cost me some potential profits, but eases my state of mind. I'm getting very busy with my real job and these gyrations have nerve-wracking. If you win big you get greedy and think you're invincible. If you lose you get depressed and self-doubting. I don't need either of those emotional states right now.

By the way I bought IBM at 101. Have traded it three times from there up to 115-121. But this time I think it's going higher. And think if they start eating some of EMC's lunch next year with the Shark. One thing these big companies have is many billions in cash. CPQ for instance has 5 billion cash now. Plus 20% of CMGI. LOR is another value play I love.

Good trading everyone. Guaranteed way to profit big is to buy my picks and hold them for longer than I do. I always sell too soon.
