Amusing that in this election both parties will nominate candidates with little or no appeal to crossovers and independents. The contest will be more about who is disliked least than about who is liked most.

Bruce, Here is the reason I said the GOP does not need him at this point. The following are HIS quotes from one post.. I'm frightened by the thought of a Bush Presidency.. I encourage all McCain supporters to vote against Bush. With Clinton bringing the gun manufacturers to their knees it's becoming obvious who can get things done in Washington. Most Americans don't see anything wrong with gun locks. And, contrary to Bush's position, it isn't hard to enforce gun lock laws. In fact, gun locks would make it easier to prosecute negligent gun owners. pause here to say, gun locks have been around for years. AND if you think the government suing American companies out of existence to get their way is the government doing their job, well whoah nellie. And another little item today,,,read about the Georgia cop killed by one who should have been in federal prison, but the gov't would not do it's job?? ((Oh but of course they are too busy suing the britches off some other company so they can get a couple more good press conferences)) Campaign finance reform... Bush is making a complete ass out of himself by disregarding those who supported McCain's reform platform uh oh....see Gore up sucking up to the unions this weekend?? Wonder where THAT money is coming form??? Can you say, " Out of your check whether you like it or not,?" hmm and a couple more quotes .... Clearly I don't like Bush. I won't vote for Bush and if the GOP pisses me off enough, I won't vote for any Republicans. So you see WHY I said GOP does not need him? What unity would he bring?
