I posted this on Raging Bull. Thought maybe I'd try to bring this thread back to life (unless I'm the only one on SI in this stock). Here's an interesting outfit to keep an eye on for smart card deployment: identrus.com They've been in the news a ton lately with all the various security vendors signing on. Here's what they have to say about smart cards. Sorry if this is repeat information. "Where do smart cards fit in to the Identrus solution? Identrus will foster the deployment of smart cards as the principal storage devices for users' electronic identities. Smart cards are more secure than the hard drives on personal computers.
