the upside potential is too large to consider shorting...well said.

I have a funny theory that the number of "converted" shorts helps me keep tabs on what is going on in Elons many markets - guardians of proprietary systems are realizing that "the old way of doing things" simply won't work in the networked world, it's either adapt or die.

Echelon's tentacles run deep and I find the scope of their ambition quite profound, but not vulgar. The degree of co-operation required between systems participants to endorse a new Network Std at this level of the infrastructure buildout, in multiple markets, on a global scale, is phenomenal, and imo Echelons progress over the better part of the last decade is formidable. My money is betting that they are pulling it off, and Wall St. seems to agree.

To some, the share price might appear to be moving on the buzz of "home automation" right now, but mass markets here are at least a few yrs out. I suspect, and this is pure conjecture on my part, that the real action behind the current valuation is that volume shipments of new product are accelerating in the commercial sector, while simultaneously there is an increasing awareness in the broader investment community that Echelon is for real, and is a viable going concern with key advantages. The amount of block trades in the past few weeks is probably greater than all such trades combined from the time they IPO'd up until Jan this yr.

Don't wait too long to go long.....Finland has, Germany has, Cisco, Sun, & UPnP have

just my $0.02 monday morning wake-up rave, fwiw
