Hey Polvo! Happy Birthday!

<Clappy prepares for his first jab at the soon to be retired 50 year old...>

Instead of being the Beano Guinea Pig, you might be better off calling yourself, the Beano Old Goat...
:^)

<Clappy hightails it off the porch as he realizes Polvo has that look on his face that says, "Let me display how this old goat is able to open and chew up a great big can of WhoopAss!">

<The ol' geezer quickly catches up the young punk and drags him out to the wood shed to deliver a lesson on proper manners...>

Love ya buddy!
Happy Birthday!
Hopin' yer next 50 is spent delivering all that wisdom that you have to all of us.
I've already learned a lot from you.

<Clappy steps to the side and display's a gift from all the Porchers. It's a wooden rocking chair with a big red bow on it.>

Enjoy it. It sounds like you'll be having a lot of use for it as the CC's allow you to retire soon.

-ClappyBirthday

Morning epolvitopop,

I'll watch along with you. So far things look pretty good. Proud of your wisdom in paragraph four, you seem to have picked up on the little things that contribute to not destroying the big thing, your vehicle. Most people do not think of those things at this stage. Paying taxes out of margin and not immediately paying off credit cards. Yes, when you can earn 20% or more a month on margin, 18% annually does not bother you, just another benefit of CC writing. according to my power options, the QCOM 135's are paying 13 1/8 or roughly 10.5 %. Giving you roughly $16,000 just on you Q. The Elon 100's are paying around $14 and even though the call is slightly in the money, the return is around 14% or roughly $7,000.

Gee, $23,000, welcome to the good life.

Voltaire

BTW - Happy birthday!

Morning Polvie:

You know, sometimes I think that Uncle Sam is deeply involved (here goes another conspiracy theory) is setting up scenario's whereby the holder of a stock with substantial appreication is scared into selling his/her positions thereby forcing that person to take short term capital gains, at the expense of the investor/trader/speculator, to the gain of the gov't. This may be the new gov't stratagy to reduce the deficit. Create a scenario where you have traders racking up significant gains going tech/biotech, then creating a "sky is falling" atmosphere just to snag these short term capital gains. I'm on to you guys now.....

David

BTW, I'm pretty much in the same boat that your in.
