My recollection is that short interest (as of 15-th of any month) is announced by about the 25-th. Any revisions on this?

Look at the upward surge in Nov-Dec 1999. Look also at short interest for CMGI:
nasdaq.com

Note the fairly constant short interest prior to Oct. and equal in level in Jan. 2K. In both cases there follows a higher shorts level (I am assuming the possibility for Mar.)
But the Avg.Daily.Volm is lower to Nov. 15 (6M) and low in Feb. and Mar. (7.6M and probably same in Mar.). Both cases wel higher than 2.6 days to cover. Nov. days.to.cover 3.4; Dec. 0.75; Feb 2.6.

The CMGI price has been rather flat for the last 60 days, except for big impacts due to gyrations in ENGA and NAVI, very large fractions of share values owned by CMGI.

At constant daily volume ENGA has experienced roughly a 3x rise in short.int., amazingly, without a loss of price as to prior to such rise. If the recent suit doesn't get out of hand and some spark causes a rise in the meager 1/3-1/2 M daily volume, it is conceivable that ENGA will soar.

(need more data in NAVI for Mar. for some better def. signals).

Again, some spark in CMGI news (ALTA, however, should already be in quiet period) may expand daily volume. Will the previous relationship in days.to.cover cause a surge in the near future? I think that's interesting! At worst, may have to wait for ALTA debut.

Does anyone want to analyze call/put ratio for Apr.?
