I see you really like RMTR and most of your other stocks are gorillas. Could RMTR be a potential gorilla? I have
not studied the book, but this senile old man is sure betting on it -- and I need a stroke of good luck in here.
Thanks.

Although I read the book Gorilla Game, I'm far from an expert on it. The two Uncles (west & Frank) would be the best ones to ask. They have an excellent thread where this stuff is discussed to the Nth degree.

I don't think non volitile, no-power-required- memory like Ramtron's patented FRAM has crossed the Chasm yet.
I don't know if smart cards have crossed yet, either.

Once either one of them do, I think RMTR will rocket.
They do fit some of the other requirements of being a Gorilla. However, they still have some work to do...

Smart cards are widely accepted in Asia and Europe, but not yet in the U.S.
Ramtron's FRAM memory chips don't require any power and are activated if the card is in the vicinity of a transmitter/receiver. For instance, your smart card would stay in your wallet, which is in your pocket or purse, and without removing it, you walk through a turnstile or scanner that automatically updates your information.
Subways, luggage tags, inventory control, phone cards, debit cards, etc. are some of the applications that will help propel this technology.
I picture being able to fill a grocery cart with items and walk out of the store through a traffic free checkout counter...

So if you ask me if I like Ramtron's FRAM memory chips and their licensing agreements, I would have to say yes.

Hopefully someday they achieve gorilla status.

Their stock is cheap enough now to take the gamble and add to the position as the picture gets clearer.

You mentioned you put half your portfolio on them.
You must be a lot of fun in Vegas!

Kidding of course.

It's my opinion that the stock will come back to where you bought it. They just announced earnings and spewed out a lot of good news. It's normal for the stock to settle back down as the volume dries up.

As the word spreads and people catch on to the technology, the price will react. They have a tiny float of available share so with every deal made or major news the stock will pop.

Good Luck!
...and thanks fore giving me a reason to hop back up on this soapbox...
